External Power Supplies, Template for Annual Reporting of Spare and Service Part Sales Exempt from Level VI Standards
DOE has posted a template for the required annual reporting of sales of external power supplies (EPSs) exempt from Level VI energy conservation standards pursuant to 10 C.F.R. § 430.32(w)(2). Importers and U.S. manufacturers of exempt EPSs must submit, no later than September 1, 2018, and annually by each September 1st thereafter, a report providing the total number of exempt EPSs sold during the most recent 12-calendar-month period ending on July 31, if the total exceeds 1,000 units across all models.
Note: EPSs exempt from Level VI energy conservation standards pursuant to 10 C.F.R. § 430.32(w)(2) are not exempt from applicable Level IV standards. Importers and U.S. manufacturers of basic models of EPSs subject to Level IV standards (10 C.F.R. § 430.32(w)(1)(i)) must submit annual certification reports for those basic models, using the appropriate EPS template available at https://www.regulations.doe.gov/ccms/templates.
