A revised Variable Refrigerant Flow Multi-Split Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps, v5.3 template has been posted on the CCMS web site.  Compared to the v5.2 template that this template replaces, this v5.3 template allows for up to seven outdoor unit modules instead of five.  v5.3 replaces v5.2 effective immediately.

The v5.3 template aligns with the certification requirements in 10 CFR 429.43(b)(2)(vii)(B) and (viii)(B) that are associated with the January 1, 2024 energy conservation standards at 10 CFR 431.97(f)(2).  This template must be used beginning January 1, 2024.  This v5.3 template may be used immediately, but all submissions on this template will be evaluated against the energy conservation standards that go into effect on January 1, 2024. 

The current v5.1 template may continue to be used prior to January 1, 2024 and submissions on that template will be evaluated against the current energy conservation standards until December 31, 2023.  However, submissions made on v5.1 must be resubmitted on v5.3 by January 1, 2024.
